About the Program
Established in 1993, the PLAY Scholarship Fund enables families in central Ohio to participate in enrichment activities offered through the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, regardless of their economic status. The PLAY Scholarship Fund covers a portion or all of the costs of fee-based activities for eligible kids 18 and younger.
WE NEED YOU
Operating high quality programming with the proper equipment, supplies and instruction necessitates a pay-to-play model. Without assistance, these programs can be out of reach for families in the most vulnerable communities.
Your support ensures every child has the opportunity to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of Columbus Recreation and Parks programs.
PLAY scholarships make it possible for youth to connect with nature, wellness and creativity year-round through programs and camps in areas such as:
- Aquatics
- Boxing
- Cheer and Gymnastics
- Dance, Music and Theater
- Cooking
- Drawing, Painting and Other Creative Arts
- Foreign Languages
- Sports Leagues and Skills & Drills
